Key milestone for leading tech IPO and IR firm

SAN FRANCISCO--()--The Blueshirt Group, the leading technology-focused IPO advisory, investor relations and strategic media relations firm, will ring the closing bell of The Nasdaq Stock Market today in celebration of the firm’s 20th anniversary. The event will take place at The Nasdaq Entrepreneurial Center in San Francisco and will be broadcast at the Nasdaq MarketSite in Times Square and on media outlets globally.

“Twenty years in business is a significant milestone. Blueshirt is fortunate to have partnered on more technology IPOs than any other agency, and our firm has earned its reputation as a leader in IPO advisory, investor relations and strategic media. We are grateful to have played a meaningful role advising many of the leading entrepreneurs and growth companies in the market over the past two decades. The strength of our firm is centered on our experienced team who works strategically and tirelessly on behalf of our global clients, and we are excited about the future,” said co-founder Alex Wellins.

Blueshirt was founded in December 1999 and remains headquartered in San Francisco’s financial district. Over the years it has expanded to locations in New York City, Beijing and London and today has a staff of more than 40 talented team members. Blueshirt has represented many of the top-performing tech IPOs during its history.

“Blueshirt has been a trusted advisor helping our clients navigate numerous structural changes in the IPO process and within public company investor relations over the past two decades. Meaningful developments, including the impact of large pools of private capital, private market liquidity, the JOBS act and direct listing options, have all increased the sophistication required to contemplate the public markets and operate as a public company. These factors and others have caused companies to place a greater value and importance on IPO advisory and investor relations, and Blueshirt will continue to advise in these important areas,” added Wellins.

Blueshirt’s managing partners Chris Danne, Lisa Laukkanen and Alex Wellins will lead the closing bell ringing ceremony at 1:00pm PT today. A live stream of the Nasdaq Closing Bell will be available at:, and photos and posts about the event will be available on the Blueshirt and Nasdaq social media channels.
