Mike Bishop , , , Managing Director

Mike is an experienced investor relations practitioner with a decade of experience working in the technology sector. Before the Blueshirt Group, Mike was Director, Investor Relations for Openwave Systems, a pioneer in the wireless data and IP communications sector. At Openwave he was responsible for all aspects of the company’s investor relations activities and provided strategic counsel to the management team during periods of executive change, equity offerings and strategic reviews. Earlier, he led the investor relations department at Critical Path, an Internet messaging firm. Before entering corporate investor relations, Mike was an investor relations consultant at the Financial Relations Board/BSMG and Fitzgerald Communications. Mike earned his B.A. in Finance and Economics from Baldwin-Wallace College.

Nicole Borsje , , , Managing Director

Nicole joined Blueshirt in 2014 from Jefferies where she was a Vice President in their Equity Capital Markets Group. Prior to joining Blueshirt, Nicole spent almost 8 years working on the execution of IPOs and follow-on offerings as part of the Equity Syndicate desks of Jefferies and UBS. During that time, Nicole worked on over 75 bookrun IPOs across a broad range of sectors including Technology, Healthcare, Consumer and Real Estate. While at Blueshirt, Nicole has worked with a variety of Software and Internet companies for both Pre-IPO advisory and public company Investor Relations. Nicole received her B.S. in Business Administration from Georgetown University’s Robert E. McDonough School of Business.

Chris Danne , , , Co-Founder & Managing Director

Chris has more than 20 years of investor relations experience and has helped more than 75 companies go public. Prior to forming Blueshirt, Chris was a Principal at Morgen-Walke Associates, one of the country’s largest IR firms at the time, where he ran the West Coast office. After graduating from Duke University, Chris spent two years working in Europe and Asia before joining the IR profession at Mallory Factor and The Equity Group in New York.

Ellen Davis Hayes-Roth , , , Director of Recruiting

Ellen leads Blueshirt’s recruiting efforts in investor relations and related corporate functions. Having managed investor relations programs for both public and pre-IPO technology companies earlier in her career, Ellen is well suited to understand the blended finance and communications skillset required to be successful in IR roles. Prior to Blueshirt, Ellen worked for one of the nation’s largest institutional capital investors providing equity financing for residential real estate development. She holds an M.A. in Investor Relations from the University of San Francisco and a B.A. in Sociology from San Francisco State University.

Gary Dvorchak , , , Managing Director

Gary brings significant capital markets and media expertise to Blueshirt. Before joining Blueshirt from a competing IR firm, he had two decades of experience as a portfolio manager and analyst in the institutional investment management business. Gary co-founded an investment boutique that successfully IPOed a closed-end mutual fund (NYSE:FAV); was a portfolio manager on a long-short equity fund; and was a co-portfolio manager (covering technology) for an institutional small cap strategy with over $4 billion of AUM. Gary started his investment career in research at investment bank Hambrecht & Quist. From 2004 through 2014, Gary was a high profile contributor to Jim Cramer’s Real Money financial news website. Gary earned his MBA at the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. Before business school, Gary spent four years in the computer industry as a software developer and project manager. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Iowa with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. Gary earned the Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 1996. Gary resides in Beijing, China.

Ralph Fong , , , Director

Ralph joined Blueshirt Group in 2013 from JMP Securities where he worked as an equity research analyst in the Energy, Environmental & Industrial Technologies group. Prior to JMP, he held equity analyst positions at Passport Capital, Robert W. Baird, Stanford Group Company, Pacific Growth Equities LLC and Cowen & Company. Previously, he worked in the strategic marketing group at Applied Materials. Ralph holds an MBA from Santa Clara University, and a BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from California State Polytechnic University.

Jeff Fox , , , Director

Jeff has 20 years experience in PR and communications, specializing in helping technology companies refine their messaging and bring their stories to national business and financial media. Jeff has worked with private and public companies in industries ranging from digital media to green tech to financial services, and has helped several pre-IPO companies prepare for and garner positive media coverage in connection with, their IPOs. Jeff began his career with Home Box Office in New York City and was senior vice president of MacKenzie Communications before joining the Blueshirt team in 2006. He holds a B.S. degree from the University at Buffalo and an M.B.A. from George Washington University.

Allise Furlani , , , Director

Allise joined Blueshirt’s New York office in 2012. Prior to Blueshirt, Allise worked in the finance division of Goldman Sachs where she focused on providing valuation oversight for the Investment Management Division. Previously, she worked in the quantitative analytics group at Thomson Reuters, and as a public finance analyst at Citigroup. Allise is a graduate of the State University of New York at Albany with a BS in Business.

Nicole Gunderson , , , Director

Nicole joined Blueshirt in 2010 and focuses on software and internet companies. She manages day to day client priorities, shareholder relations, and marketing efforts. Prior to Blueshirt, she spent 4 years at Deutsche Bank in software investment banking. She has a B.A. in Political Science from University of California, Berkeley and an M.A. in Investor Relations from the University of San Francisco.

Monica Gould , , , Managing Director

Monica brings more than fifteen years of Investor Relations and Wall Street experience to Blueshirt. She was previously Executive Director of Investor Relations at Time Warner. Prior to that Monica established and ran a Corporate Access desk for Credit Suisse and served eight years as a sell-side equity analyst on a top-ranked Institutional Investor team at Credit Suisse and Deutsche Bank where she covered the telecom equipment sector. Monica holds an MBA from the Stern School of Business at NYU and a B.A. in Computer Science from the State University of New York at Albany.

Christine Greany , , , Managing Director

Christine has more than 20 years of investor relations experience, representing companies across a broad range of industries, including consumer, media and software. Christine established an independent IR/Corporate Communications practice in 2001 after spending 2 years as a Senior Partner at Integrated Corporate Relations (ICR) and 10 years as a Senior Vice President/Group Director at Morgen-Walke Associates. She has been an instructor and guest lecturer on financial public relations and investor relations at the New York University School of Continuing & Professional Studies.

Cynthia Hiponia , , , Managing Director

Cynthia Hiponia brings over a decade of Wall Street experience to Blueshirt, where she is a strategic advisor to leading technology companies throughout their IPO process. In addition to guiding private technology companies through the transition to publicly traded companies, Cynthia develops investor relations programs. Her sell-side perspective provides invaluable insight to public technology companies in positioning their strategies to maximize investor outreach and expand shareholder value. As a sell-side analyst on a top-ranked Institutional Investor team at Citigroup, Cynthia’s sector coverage included Enterprise Systems and Storage. Prior to that, Cynthia was part of the Biotechnology equity research team at Robertson Stephens. Cynthia began her career at Recombinant Capital, where she provided consulting services on strategic alliances to universities, biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies.

Kim Hughes , , , Managing Director

Kim is an experienced PR practitioner who was a former Managing Director for Alexander Ogilvy PR's San Francisco office and, more recently, a strategic communications consultant. She has significant expertise guiding technology companies through milestone events such as fundings, IPOs, M&As, product and service launches, as well as securing impactful coverage in top tier business and financial publications/online outlets. During her tenure at Alexander Ogilvy she managed the PR and industry outreach efforts for scores of high-profile technology companies and a number of Silicon Valley's most well-known senior executives. In addition to her strategic and tactical PR skills, Kim specializes in message platform development and has significant experience working with and placing clients at leading technology conferences. Kim earned a B.A. in Speech Communications from Miami University and completed a Marketing program at Regent’s College in London, England.

Jennifer Jarman , , , Co-Founder & Director

Jennifer Jarman is a founding member of The Blueshirt Group and has 15 years’ experience developing and implementing comprehensive investor relations programs for companies in the Internet and digital media sectors. Prior to joining Blueshirt, she spent over two years in the technology group at Morgen-Walke Associates. Before starting her career in investor relations, Jennifer lived in Brussels, Belgium where she worked for Network Operations Worldwide, an executive recruitment company, and The Wall Street Journal Europe. She holds a B.A. in Communication and Psychology from Tulane University.

Brinlea Johnson , , , Managing Director

Brinlea joined Blueshirt in October of 2001 in San Francisco, and transitioned to our New York office in 2003. Brinlea has been a strategic advisor on many IPOs and has participated in numerous high-profile M&A transactions in the technology sector. She manages client relationships both in San Francisco and New York, and also coordinates non-deal roadshows around the country. Prior to joining Blueshirt, she worked in institutional sales at Robertson Stephens. She is a graduate of Vanderbilt University with a BA in Communications and Psychology.

Soohwan Kim , , , Managing Director

Soohwan brings more than twenty years of Wall Street experience to Blueshirt. Most recently, Soohwan was a buy side analyst at BNP Paribas Asset Management managing U.S. equity portfolio. Previously, he served in similar roles at Deutsche Asset Management, AIG SunAmerica, and Citibank Global Asset Management. He started out his career as an economist at UBS. Soohwan graduated magna cum laude from Columbia University and earned his MBA from the Stern School of Business at NYU. He has been a CFA charterholder since 1996.

Whitney Kukulka , , , Director

Whitney joined Blueshirt in early 2014, bringing Wall Street experience from both the buy- and sell-side. Prior to joining the firm, Whitney worked in the investment banking group at Sandler O’Neill & Partners where she focused on business valuation for IPOs, debt and equity raises, and M&A transactions. Prior to Sandler, Whitney worked at Cambridge Associates, an investment advisory firm, designing portfolio management strategies for institutional investors. Whitney earned her B.S. in Business Economics from the University of Arizona, Eller College of Management.

Lisa Laukkanen , , , Managing Director

Lisa brings more than 20 years of experience in investor relations, corporate communications and on Wall Street to Blueshirt. Prior to joining Blueshirt, Lisa launched and led the investor relations practice at Alexander Ogilvy Public Relations where she managed teams in New York and San Francisco and led the investor relations efforts for numerous IPOs, mergers, acquisitions and corporate initiatives both domestically and internationally. Lisa has worked with a wide range of technology companies in the semiconductor, software, and Internet sectors. Her previous experience includes managing investor relations for technology companies while at Morgen-Walke Associates and various marketing roles at PaineWebber. Lisa holds a B.A. in Management from Pine Manor College.

Chelsea Lish , , , Director

Chelsea joined The Blueshirt Group in 2016. She brings over 6 years of in-house investor relations experience for companies in Retail, IT Services and Financial Services. Prior to joining The Blueshirt Group, she managed and supported the investor relations efforts for two Fortune 500 companies, PetSmart and Affiliated Computer Services, and MoneyGram, a leading provider of alternative financial services. She holds a B.S. in Business from the University of Texas at Dallas.

Leslie Phillips , , , Director

Leslie brings several years of communications and marketing experience to Blueshirt. Her previous experience includes business development for The Louis Berger Group, an infrastructure engineering firm, and clean tech financing consulting for Arup, a building design firm. Leslie received a B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and an M.B.A. from The University of Texas at Austin. She also studied in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and is fluent in Portuguese.

Erin Rheaume , , , Director

Erin joined The Blueshirt Group in 2015. Prior to that, she worked in-house doing investor relations and competitive intelligence and before that in SEC reporting. Erin started her career at Ernst & Young. She graduated with a Master of Science in Accounting from Michigan State University and is a CPA.

Tony Righetti , , , Director

Tony joined the firm in 2014 to execute investor relations strategies for companies in the software and service sector. Before joining The Blueshirt Group, he worked for Maxim Integrated Products (MXIM) and a diverse set of private SaaS companies. Beyond investor relations, he has held internal management positions within communications, corporate development and marketing. Tony holds an Economics degree from U.C.L.A. and an M.B.A. from the F.W. Olin School of Business at Babson College.

Mark Roberts , , , Managing Director

Mark runs Blueshirt’s Capital Markets Advisory efforts. Mark brings both operational experience, as a CEO of a clean tech business, as well as over 15 years of investment banking experience. As a banker, Mark worked on a diverse range of IPOs, capital raises and M&A transactions in a variety of roles, including co-head of software at Thomas Weisel Partners, and global head of semiconductors and semiconductor capital equipment at Bear Stearns. He holds an MBA from the Stern School of Business at NYU, and a B.A. from Duke University.

Maria Riley , , , Managing Director

Maria has over ten years of broad technology experience including investor relations, marketing communications, global supply chain management and accounting/financial analysis. Prior to joining the Blueshirt Group, Maria was Director of Marketing Communications for Avanex Corporation (NASDAQ: AVNX) where she managed the strategy, development and execution of investor and corporate communications programs. Prior to joining Avanex, Maria served as an investor relations consultant with Stapleton Communications and Sapphire Investor Relations where she led and managed investor relations programs for a variety of technology companies. Her sector experience includes software, hardware, optical equipment and semiconductors. She holds a B.A. in Business Administration and a B.A. in English Literature from the University of San Diego.

Jonathan Schaffer , , , Managing Director

Jonathan is a Managing Director with 20 years of IR experience.  He joined Blueshirt in 2007 and heads up the firm’s NY office. In his tenure with Blueshirt, Jonathan has worked extensively with high-profile IPOs through the process and on an ongoing basis. Jonathan has been honored by PRSA with the Silver Anvil Award for Excellence in Investor Relations. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa, Magna Cum Laude from the State University of New York at Albany.

Suzanne Schmidt , , , Managing Director

Suzanne joined Blueshirt in 2005. She previously ran her own investor relations firm with clients primarily in the semiconductor area. Suzanne was also the Director of Investor Relations for Atmel (NASDAQ: ATML). Prior to Atmel, Suzanne was VP at Morgen-Walke Associates where she managed the investor relations programs for a variety of publicly traded technology companies. Suzanne’s previous experience includes in-house investor relations at Wells Fargo & Co. and investment banking at Rauscher Pierce, which was acquired by Dain Wessels, and then RBC. Suzanne received her MBA and B.S. in Finance and Marketing from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley.

Julie Silber , , , Managing Director

Julie specializes in gaining visibility and positioning smaller companies to the financial markets with clear and compelling stories to help increase exposure, volume and shareholder value with unique expertise in non-US listed companies that wish to gain access and/or expand their exposure to the North American capital markets. Julie has over 20 years of experience in executive financial leadership roles with both private and publicly traded companies, including four years of CFO level experience and several years as a for-hire equity analyst. She holds a bachelor's degree in International Relations and a certificate in Russian Studies from the University of Southern California, a certificate in Corporate Conflict Resolution from Loyola Law School, a certificate in Accounting from the Center for Non-Profit Management and a Master’s degree in Environmental Science & Policy, also from USC.

Lauren Sloane , , , Director

Lauren has been working at The Blueshirt Group since 2011 on investor relations for technology companies, including semiconductor, telecommunication, IP communications, and IoT businesses. She began her career in investor relations at MidOcean Partners, a New York based private equity firm. Prior, she worked as an analyst at Paradigm Investment Group.  Lauren holds an M.A. in International Business from NYU and a B.A. in International Relations from UC San Diego.

Melanie Solomon , , , Managing Director

Melanie joined Blueshirt in 2011 after seven years at NY-based Stern Investor Relations, a biotechnology-focused IR firm, where she was vice president. She has extensive experience shaping the investor relations programs of pre- and post-IPO companies, with particular strengths in strategy implementation, document generation and competitive intelligence. At Blueshirt, Melanie is working with both private and public companies. Melanie is a graduate of Cornell University with a B.S. in Communication, and she also spent time working in the wine industry.

Alex Wellins , , , Co-Founder & Managing Director

Alex brings 25 years of investor relations, media relations and corporate communications experience to Blueshirt. After earning his B.A. from the University of Michigan, he spent his first years on the west coast providing marketing communications counsel to emerging Silicon Valley software startups. Alex then spent five years at Morgen-Walke Associates focusing on financial media relations then transitioned to manage investor relations programs for the largest group of technology clients at the firm. Alex has been a strategic advisor on the IPOs of many Internet, software and digital media companies and has participated in numerous high-profile M&A transactions in the technology sector.
